Book Information

Portfolio # 1 - Bears, is a body of work created over a period of years. This book project contains 156 pages and a portfolio of 238 of my best Black Bear & Grizzly Bear photographs. The images include adults, young and parenting in a wide variety of habitats. It provides a great look at the behavior and beauty of these intelligent, caring and powerful animals.

The text throughout the book is designed to teach you something about black bears and grizzly bears. Topics include physical characteristics such as colors, size, intelligence, speed, paws and claws, teeth, hump and fur. It also covers a bear’s senses including sight, sound and smell.

This book will teach you how long and where do bears live. How much space does a bear need to roam and why. It covers what bears eat and when are they active. Also included is information about mating, when are the babies born, and it explains how denning and hibernation works. It discusses if bears climb trees, do bears have any predators, and how bears communicate. Finally, the book covers what to do if you encounter a bear and find yourself face to face with a black bear or a grizzly bear.

At this link www.blurb.com/books/758314 you should be able to see every page and photograph included in this book. Please remember when reviewing the book that the photos are much smaller (compressed) than in the actual book so some images may look grainy in the preview but all images will look much better in the actual book.

This is a Large Landscape (13 x 11 inches) hardcover coffee table book. The book is commercial quality featuring 4-color printing on premium 100-pound silk finished paper with durable library binding. The laminated 4-color dust jacket includes front and back flaps and printing on the spine.

The book is a relatively inexpensive way to enjoy a lot of my best work. All books purchased directly from me will be personally signed before shipping it to you.

Since this book is published on demand, and can be printed one at a time instead of doing thousands of copies at once they are more expensive, however, that is the only way it is available.

Book $145 + packaging/shipping $8 within the US.
